Stage Queensland has been announced as a grant recipient of the second round of the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).

The $20,000 grant will enable Stage Queensland to undertake an audit of major performing arts venues in a number of northern Queensland locations. The audit results will be documented to show priorities for venue maintenance and upgrades. The project will run from September 2018 to March 2019 and will provide important data to both the involved individual venues and the overall Queensland venue sector.

The BBRF funds projects in regional Australia outside the major capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra. There are two streams of funding available under the program: the Infrastructure Projects Stream and the Community Investments Stream.
